NOV. 21, 2008 SURVIVING SKILLS FOR A RECESSION – PART II

Alright, enough is enough – here, at TJAA.ca, we’ve been beating the drum of a major SECULAR change for the automotive industry for nearly a year now, and finally, it seems that everyone is finally getting it.

Whoever is ready to face the new reality, it should be ready by now. If not, among other things, get Paul Krugman’s book The Great Unraveling - which brilliantly exposes the fundamental fulminations about our economy - and you’ll see that this is NOT A CYCLE my friend, and it’s going to last for quite a while. Then, at the end of this ‘unraveling’, our industry will be quite different – you can bet on it.

What do you want to be - a HERO or a ZERO??

Regardless of your level of that confidence, let’s roll up our collective sleeves, and try get out of this mess. As we move forward, TJAA.ca will focus on products, services, people and organizations, that in our opinion, are best suited to lead your business out of this economic predicament.
Here is the second installment of TJAA.ca’s “Surviving Skills for a Recession”

Surviving Skills for a Recession - Part I: Media

WELCOME TO GOOGLE'S INSIGHTS FOR SEARCH

by Michael Pistol

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.
Charles Darwin

There is common knowledge that small, subtle adjustments or initiatives usually are far more effective than big and dramatic gestures. Call it evolution… Recently we were made aware of Google’s new offering – Insights for Search, and seeing it’s huge potential of influencing and altering Canada’s automotive landscape, we went further to investigate.

In essence, Insight for Search is very similar to the well-known Google Trends and Ad Planner, but it has been designed to work by analyzing search terms. Initially aimed squarely at the advertising community, Insights for Search’s capabilities and versatility makes it, however, an incredibly efficient tool for optimizing your Canadian automotive business.
